Exams!

To better serve you, I’ve rearranging the blog today. Helpful stuff first…

Helpful Tools
You have all heard me say not to cram, not to push yourself past the point of focus. It just isn’t worth it – your brain cannot handle it.

Recent studies show that people can focus for up to 90 minutes – personally I believe it to be like 45 to 50 minutes. Anyway, after those 50 to 90 minutes your brain cannot force itself to focus and you must take a SMALL break.

Studies show that you need up to 23 minutes to get back to where you were before the break. (http://www.wholeliving.com/133954/regain-your-focus)

So take a small, non-technology, short break then get back to your studies.

Now, with regards to staying up to cram – DON’T DO IT.  The material you are studying will go into your long term memory if you allow yourself to go into REM sleep. You cannot go into REM sleep if you stay up to 3am studying.  I won’t go into the effects of lack of sleep (the list is too long).
