Don't get sick.

Your mom called. She wants me to tell you to put on your coat. Kidding…. But seriously, please don’t catch a cold because you were braving the weather. That is just plain silly. Then you would come in here and give me your cold – and I wouldn’t like that at all. So, wear your coat, hat, scarf and gloves. If not for yourself, do it so you don’t get your adviser sick.

Helpful Tools
Apps and more apps; it seems there is an app for everything from gaming to tracking epileptic seizures. I’m guessing if you have a condition there is an app for it! There are apps specifically designed to help college students - some of them very useful such as Trello.

Trello is for group projects; identifies responsibilities and keeps track of progress.  USNews report indicated “A cornerstone of some college courses is classroom collaboration. While group projects can cut down on the work an individual is responsible for, it can be confusing to manage who completes what task. Trello can help organize an entire project, large or small, by assigning each person a label and filtering responsibilities to that individual through the app.”

I have been having discussions with some of you about services and what it means, who is it for, and why you should list it on your resume.

Personally, I believe service to others should be something you do without the expectation of something in return. You do it to help the other because you WANT to.

Should you list this on your resume? YES. Your resume is a reflection of not only the work you can do but what type of person you are.
