Snow Boots or Slippers?

Are you wearing snow boots or slippers today? Snow boots are completely acceptable today because, yes, it snowed six inches yesterday. Slippers are never acceptable outside your home. NEVER. You are gown people – I shouldn’t have to tell you this but I feel I must because I saw a student (non-MSE) leaving class the other day. Think about this … a year from now this student is going to ask that professor for a recommendation. What will that recommendation read like “yes, Jack does a good work in slippers.”   Enough said.

Eating chocolate when you study will help retain the information.

Chocolate: Chocolate is not only delicious, it’s also beneficial to your brain and can help enhance your mood. Natural stimulants boost the production of endorphins that improve focus and concentration. Milk chocolate has been shown to improve verbal and visual memory and boost impulse control and reaction time. Dark chocolate is rich in flavanols that boost blood supply to the brain and help improve cognitive skills.”
