I
have a few reminders and important announcements, but first – call your parents
for no reason at all. Just say hi, ask what they are doing, how was their day.
Every once in a while we have these reminders that life is precious, life is
short, and we should not take anyone for granted.
That’s all & now on to
other things….Some
of you know that MSE Advising Office is moving. Yes, it is true – we are going
to move sometime around December 2014.
Until that time, please continue to come and visit us at our office in
Collegiate Square. I will have more
information about our move later … it will be great!

Engineering Professional Society (MEPS) will be holding officer elections on
4/22/2013 at 7 pm in Holden 114. If you are interested in any of the
positions available, please start contacting the current officers to learn what
they do every month to keep the organization running. If you have any questions
please do not hesitate to ask.
Please take a moment to fill out the quick survey. By you taking the time to fill this out, you are increasing the chances of MEPS earning the #1 MA Chapter in the country as well as bringing in extra income to the society. Thank you for helping yourselves and your fellow MSE students out!

So exactly what does ‘appropriate attire’ mean? What about ‘black
tie optional’, or ‘business casual’? All are very good questions. And you
should know the answer to each.

Pay attention to this confession from a former housing officer! You guys have no idea how many times housing offices joke about putting unruly, difficult, or unsatisfied students in a tent on the Drillfield. In an overcrowded situation, I once mumbled to myself, 'you want your own room, get a tent and park yourself on the Drillfield. You can have the entire **** field to yourself.' Well, folks here it is; a housing officers dream come true ... students on the Drillfield! Why does Relay for Life only come once a year? http://www.vtnews.vt.edu/articles/2013/04/041113-dsa-relay.html
