So far we have discovered the different types of teams, common elements and the different characteristics that a team
should have. Put all those things into a pot and your final step is to identify
the different roles the group members
will carry out. With all this you should have what it takes to have a
successful functioning team that can obtain a common goal or outcome.
But what if something is off? If just
one thing is out of alignment your well managed team is now transformed into
something unrecognizable.
The following are five common warning
signs of dysfunction in a team.
- Missing a sense of purpose
- Information silos and Information leakages
- Information waste
- Lack of Mutual Respect
- Long turnaround time in removing team impediments
