Now that you are
all rested from overeating we need to cram in the remaining part of this
semester. I’m sure you don’t need me to remind you that next Wednesday, December
11 is the last day of classes. So much to do before then…. That said, I have
two very important reminders.
Important
Item #1 – The deadline
for dropping a class is this FRIDAY. You know that, yes. But what you don’t
know is that before I sign your form we must discuss your options for retaking the course. And I typically leave at 4:30 every day and often
times have appointments. I will NOT interrupt a meeting to sign your form. Please plan accordingly.
Item #2 – THIRD REQUIRED
MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR. Yes, your favorite, I know. This time around we
are going to split the alphabet…. Students with last name starting M-Z are required
to meet with me before reading day. Students with last name starting A-L are required
to meet with me the first two weeks of spring classes. If your name
starts A-L and you just cannot wait until January please schedule an
appointment.

are to be scheduled using Scholar.

"Today at abp I watched a girl
insist on paying for this guys lunch. He had run out of money and he was
deciding which of his items to buy since he couldn't buy them all. She hands
the cashier her Hokie passport and the guy says thank you and it was nice. What
I didn't realize until after she walked away was that the machine said she only
had $1.23 left on her meal plan. Even when it's someone's last dollar HOKIES are
willing to help each other. I love my school."

Scheduled
meeting times are available 10-11:30 & 1:30-4.
To
schedule a meeting please log into your Scholar account. Under the MSE
Undergraduate Advising Tab use the sign-in tool to select a meeting time.
Please know it will be necessary to click on “expand all recurring meetings” to
see all available dates, then click on the date you would like to schedule a
meeting and the available times will show. Currently, meeting times are
available through December 20.
